Valley Harmony Also Asked Back to Fairview Methodist Church

Once again Valley Harmony was asked back to sing at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Vestal, NY.  They sang five songs at the service on Sunday, July 24, 2016:

Valley Harmony Sings at Berkshire Bluberry Festival

Valley Harmony offered their musical talents to benefit fund raising for the Berkshire Free Library by singing at the second annual Berkshire Blueberry and Book Festival on July 23, 2016.  Christina Salasny joined them on several songs. Songs included

Special Guests

A special treat this year was the performance of "You Can Do It" from The Producers, sung and enacted by Newark Valley High School seniors Sullivan Harris and Noah McMullin.

Woodwindist Laurie Holdridge

Laurie Holdridge played “Bring Him Home” from Les Miserables on clarinet, "When I Fall In Love" from Sleepless in Seattle tenor saxophone, "Memory" from Cats, accompanied by Aric Phinney on piano, and "The Phantom of the Opera" and "Music of the Night" from Phantom of the Opera on soprano saxophone, accompanied by Eric Machan Howd on the organ.

Guest Oranist Eric Howd

Church organist Eric Howd performed "Edelweiss" from The Sound of Music and "La Complainte de la Butte" from Moulin RougeHe also accompanied Laurie Holdridge on two pieces from Phantom of the Opera.

Guest Pianist Aric Phinney

Aric Phinney performed tow piano solos, "Do You Know Where You're Going To?" from Mahogany and “Through the Eyes of Love” from Ice Castles.  He also accompanied several other guest performers.

Valley Harmony "Broadway to Hollywood" Concert

Valley Harmony performed its eighth annual community concert at the Newark Valley United Christ of Christ on Saturday, May 14, 2016.  The concert was billed as "Broadway to Hollywood" because all the music came from Broadway musicals or from movie scores.  The performers received a standing ovation from the audience and such comments as "fine music," Valley Harmony is "committed to excellence" and "professional."  The music was divided into for sets:
