Valley Four to Do Benefit Concert at Waverly Presbyterian Church

The Valley Four will perform a benefit concert at the Waverly Presbyterian Church on Saturday, September 11, 2010. The 7:00 pm concert will take place in the sanctuary.
There is no admission charge for the concert, but a free-will offering will be taken to benefit the church’s ministry. In addition to the usual four members of the quartet, Erik Larson will be joining them for several numbers, sometimes as a stand in or as a fifth voice. Selections will include "Under the Boardwalk," "Hello, Mary Lou," "Happy Together," "Silhouettes," "That Lonesome Road," "Give Me Jesus," "Heaven's Joy Awaits" and "Danny Boy," among others. A dessert reception will follow the concert in the social hall. The Waverly Presbyterian Church is located at 459 Park Avenue, across from Muldoon Park and is handicapped accessible. For additional information, please call the church at 607-565-4034.
Linda Peters and Kristin Cascio will also be performing with the Valley Four. Peters has a Master of Music degree from Mansfield University, with post graduate study with internationally acclaimed pianist Anthony diBonaventura. She is a nationally certified music teacher through Music Teachers National Association. Peters currently teaches piano in Corning and Elmira, performs with the Elmira Keyboard Quartet and the praise band Joyful Noise, and is the Music Director at The First Presbyterian Church of Waverly. Cascio grew up in a music-centered family and has been singing church choirs since she was five. She has participated in several community choirs such as The Binghamton Downtown Singers, The Choir of Hope and Rememberance in Anderson, SC, and the Valley Chorus here in Waverly. This is her first solo performance without being surrounded by a chorus. Cascio lives in Waverly and works at the Robert Packer Hospital in Wound Care.
