A Busy Weekend

Two weekends before Christmas Valley Harmony found itself with three engagements.  On Friday they sang at the railroad depot in Newark Valley as part of the kickoff to the village's Holiday Magic.  Then Saturday afternoon they sang at a special service at the Newark Valley United Church of Christ.  Finally Sunday afternoon they were invited to sing for the Nimmonsburg (just north of Binghamton, NY) United Methodist Church Women's group provide the entertainment for their annual tea. Valley Harmony they sang a selection of popular secular, sacred and Christmas songs.  The organizer sent us this message: "I just wanted to thank you and your group for yesterday's performance. We all enjoyed it very much. Sorry when it ended. You blend really well and have amazing voices. The selections brought back old times."  The church's music director had this to add, "I just wanted to say how enjoyable your program was here on Sunday....fun and varied.   I took one of the older ladies home afterwards and asked her what she thought.  She said, 'Oh they were great - just GREAT!'   She has been to many, many of these.  So kudo's to you and your group.   Nice blend....and selections of music...many were challenging musically!"
